MASOKOTWANI, 07 April 2026 - The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Land Reform says it is aware of the locust outbreak affecting crop fields in the Zambezi Region however, the spraying intervention was disrupted by seasonal floods. In total, the teams identified an area of 32,896 hectares and as of the beginning of March 2026, 7,124 hectares had been sprayed, comprised of 5,710 hectares by ground teams and 1,414 hectares using drones.
