A dismal day for Egyptian clubs in Africa was completed when Al Masry were eliminated from the CAF Confederation Cup on Saturday despite drawing 0-0 with Chabab Belouizdad in Algeria. The first leg of the quarter-final finished 1-1 in Suez last weekend, and Belouizdad advanced to the semi-finals on the away goal rule.
