OMUTHIYA, 21 MAR (NAMPA) – Oshikoto Governor, Sacky Kathindi, has said the success of the Eighth Administration will be measured by impact and not by policies.
Kathindi said this while speaking at Onakiindhi village in the Olukonda Constituency during the Independence commemoration on Saturday.
“It will be measured by whether a child in a rural village can drink clean water, whether a young person can find opportunity and purpose, and whether our communities feel safe, dignified, and included. That is the true measure of leadership. And that is why unity is not optional, but essential,” he said.
He suggested that collaboration between the government, private sector and traditional authorities be strengthened for one common purpose of service delivery to the nation.
“When the government is leading with a vision, the private sector must invest with purpose and traditional leaders must guide with wisdom,” he said, stressing that it is only when the nation moves together that development becomes unstoppable and a reality.
“Let us therefore build our foundation on one principle, service delivery to the Namibian people. Let service delivery guide, unite and define us,” said Kathindi.
He maintained that division delays development, calling for unity to accelerate progress for the Namibian people to prosper.
“Let us rise above differences. Let us stand together as one people. Let us work together across sectors, across communities, across generations. Let us build a region where opportunity is shared. Where dignity is protected. Where no one is left behind,” he said.
