Construction workers clear rubble from the destroyed bridge on the northbound A100 city ring road in Berlin on April 24, 2025. The demolition of the dilapidated bridge at the Funkturm motorway junction in Berlin began over the weekend. The entire bridge is scheduled to be demolished by Thursday, April 17. The bridge, built in 1963, was closed in mid-March following structural investigations due to the risk of collapse. After demolition, the S-Bahn suburban train is expected to resume running under the bridge on April 28. The closure of the motorway affects the northern direction of travel of Berlin's A100 autoroute, a vital throughway for car traffic in the city's western districts. (Photo by Odd ANDERSEN / AFP)
