Germany, Japan aim to boost defence links in face of global tensions

Tokyo (dpa) - Germany and Japan are strengthening their military co-operation in the face of an increasingly volatile global security situation. German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius and his Japanese counterpart Shinjiro Koizumi said on Sunday that this collaboration should include an expansion of armaments co-operation, and consultations in the event of a crisis in order to coordinate counter-measures.
