Mainz, Germany (dpa) - Voting is under way in the western German state of Rhineland-Palatinate, where roughly 3 million eligible voters can cast their ballots to determine the composition of the next state parliament. Polling stations opened at 8 am (0700 GMT) on Sunday and will close at 6 pm, with the first exit polls expected shortly afterwards.
