Germany's Henkell takes complete control of Freixenet

Frankfurt (dpa) - The Spanish sparkling wine producer Freixenet has been completely taken over by its German parent company Henkell-Freixenet. The former owners - the Ferrer family and José Luis Bonet - have sold their remaining shares, the company announced on Tuesday. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Henkell had already acquired a majority stake (50.67%) in its Spanish competitor in 2018 with the approval of the EU. The compan......
