Switzerland's Federal Criminal Court said Friday it had closed proceedings against UBS in the so-called Mozambique "hidden debt" case, which the biggest Swiss bank inherited following its takeover of rivals Credit Suisse in 2023. The court determined there was no transfer of criminal liability from Credit Suisse to UBS in the case, which plunged Mozambique into a severe financial crisis.
