Munich (dpa) - The first combat battalions have been assigned to the German army's Tank Brigade 45 in Lithuania, which was established to strengthen NATO's eastern flank. The move was marked by a ceremonial roll call in Veitshöchheim in Bavaria, the German Armed Forces confirmed on Thursday.
