Berlin (dpa) - Germany's pro-business Free Democrats (FDP) has accused Chancellor Friedrich Merz's government of reckless borrowing ahead of a parliamentary vote on the 2025 budget, warning it would saddle younger generations with record debt. The coalition's debt policy is "the biggest declaration of war on the young generation" Germany has ever seen, the small opposition party's leader Christian Dürr told dpa.
