Amazon firms up investment in Germany business, spent $16.5bn in 2024

Munich (dpa) - Amazon invested some ?14 billion ($16.5 billion) in its German operations in 2024, up by ?2 billion compared to the previous year, the company said on Thursday. The money was used to build new sites in Horn-Bad Meinberg, Dummerstorf and Erfurt, according to Amazon, which says that it invested more than ?90 billion into operations in Germany since 2010.
