OTJIWARONGO, 23 JUL (NAMPA) - The Office of the President has conferred an official funeral upon war veteran Lazarus Guiteb, who passed away in hospital in Windhoek on 15 July 2025 after two weeks of medical treatment.
He was 82 years old.
Guiteb was imprisoned on Robben Island from 1977 to 1984. During his eight years in the South African prison, he was incarcerated alongside the late Herman Andimba Toivo ya Toivo, Ben Ulenga, Michael Shikongo,...
