ISTANBUL, July 4 (Xinhua) -- Turkish authorities arrested 45 opposition party members in the western port city of Izmir on corruption charges on Friday, the NTV broadcaster reported. The Republican People's Party (CHP) announced on the social media platform X that former Izmir Mayor Tunc Soyer and Senol Aslanoglu, the party's Izmir provincial chair, were among those arrested.
