(251223) -- HARBIN, Dec. 23, 2025 (Xinhua) -- The body of the last trapped miner is transported to a funeral home after a flooding accident at the Datonggou coal mine of Heilongjiang Fengyuan Mining Co., Ltd. in Jixi, northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, Dec. 23, 2025. The five people trapped in a coal mine accident on Sunday in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province have been confirmed dead, local authorities said on Tuesday.
   The flooding occurred at about 4:30 a.m. on Sunday at the Datonggou coal mine of Heilongjiang Fengyuan Mining Co., Ltd. in the city of Jixi, the Jixi publicity department said.
   Following intensive rescue operations, the bodies of all five individuals have been found but showed no signs of life. Post-accident response measures are now underway, and an investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing. (Xinhua/Zhang Tao)
