WINDHOEK, 23 SEP (NAMPA) - Lawmakers have flagged gaps in the proposed Ombudsman Bill of 2026, particularly around financial autonomy, enforcement powers, and the resources needed for the institution to execute its constitutional mandate effectively.
Labour Relations and Justice Minister Fillemon Wise Immanuel tabled the Bill in the National Assembly on Tuesday. The Bill seeks to repeal the Ombudsman Act of 1990.
