Daimler Truck second-quarter profit plunges 48%

Stuttgart (dpa) - German commercial vehicle maker Daimler Truck reported a 48% drop in second-quarter profit on Friday as tariffs continued to weigh on profitability. Net profit fell to ?128 million ($147.5 million) from ?245 million in the same period last year, the company said.
