Heatstroke Alert Issued in Tokyo, 34 Prefectures Across Japan

MOSCOW, August 6 (RIA Novosti) - A heatstroke alert has been issued in Tokyo and across 34 Japanese prefectures amid an extreme heatwave, with notifications sent to the residents' phones, a RIA Novosti correspondent reported on Thursday. Air temperatures in Tokyo reached 33 degrees Celsius (91.4 degrees Fahrenheit), with humidity at 65%​​​.
