Moldova Preparing for Water Use Restrictions Due to Drought – Prime Minister

CHISINAU, July 28 (RIA Novosti) - Moldovan Prime Minister Vasile Tofan warned citizens on Tuesday about the critically low water levels in the Danube River and possible restrictions on water consumption. Due to a lack of precipitation in the Carpathian Mountains, water levels in the Dniester River, as well as in Ukraine's Novodnestrovsk (also known as Novodnistrovsk) reservoir and in Moldova's Dubasari reservoirs, have dropped to historic lows.
