GLASGOW, 27 JUL (NAMPA) – Namibian long jumper Chenoult Lionel Coetzee secured his place in the men’s long jump final at the Commonwealth Games after producing an impressive leap of 7.66 metres (m) during Monday morning’s qualifying round.
The African Championships silver medallist, who still holds the Namibian record of 8.27m set in April 2023, competed in Group B, which was won by Jamaica’s Tajay Gayle with a jump of 8.10m.
