Iran's IRGC Claims US Drone Shot Down Above Iranian Territorial Waters

MOSCOW, May 31 (RIA Novosti) - Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claims it detected and shot down a US MQ-1 Predator multi-role drone over the country's territorial waters early Sunday morning, the Tasnim news agency reported. Early this morning, a US Army MQ1 drone entered Iranian territorial waters, but was immediately detected and hit by missiles from the IRGC air defense system, the agency said, citing the IRGC's statement.
