China's Annual Inflation Slows to 1% in March - Statistics Bureau

BEIJING, April 10 (RIA Novosti) - China's consumer price index rose 1% year-on-year in March, down from 1.3% in February, driven largely by falling prices for certain food items, the National Bureau of Statistics said on Friday. Inflation in urban areas stood at 1.1%, while rural inflation came in at 0.9%. Food inflation was 0.3%, while non-food inflation was 1.2%.
