WINDHOEK, 24 MAR (NAMPA) – The Namibia Press Agency (NAMPA) has announced a week-long free access offer to its news production site, the NAMPA Photographic and Editorial Archiving System (NPEAS), in celebration of Namibia’s 36th Independence anniversary.
The offer, which runs from 20 to 27 March 2026, allows members of the public unlimited access to NAMPA’s news content across its digital platforms.
NAMPA’s News Editor, Maggy Thomas, said the initiative forms part of efforts to commemorate 36 years of Namibia’s independence while promoting access to credible information.
“During this period, the public can enjoy unlimited access to our news content, which includes trusted local news from across all 14 regions, international news updates, quality photos and visual stories, as well as video news clips and features,” she said.
Thomas explained that users can access the content by following NAMPA on its digital platforms and clicking on any shared story link, which will direct them to the full articles on the NPEAS platform at no cost.
She emphasised that NAMPA remains committed to delivering credible and accurate reporting, comprehensive national coverage, and timely news updates.
“As Namibia’s national news agency, NAMPA continues to provide professional journalism that informs, educates and connects the nation,” she added.
The agency has encouraged the public to take advantage of the free access period and stay informed as the country marks another milestone in its independence journey.
