Costa Rican President Rodrigo Chaves called Wednesday for ridding communism from the region, moments after his government closed its embassy in Havana and also told Cuba's diplomats to leave. "We have to clean out communists from the hemisphere," Chaves said, adding that he did not "recognize the legitimacy of Cuba's communist regime, given the mistreatment, repression and undignified conditions for inhabitants on that beautiful island." hmo/axm/......
