Chevron has suspended production of a large natural gas project offshore Israel following a request from the country's government coinciding with the US-Israeli attack on Iran, the company said Monday. Chevron "can confirm that it was instructed by Israel's Ministry of Energy to temporarily shut-in production at the Leviathan Production Platform on February 28, 2026," a Chevron spokesperson told AFP.
