Turkey's pro-Kurdish DEM party said Thursday police had detained dozens of minors for acts of protest against a Syrian offensive targeting Kurds in northern Syria last month, demanding a parliamentary investigation. In a petition to parliament's human rights commission, eight DEM lawmakers said "at least 99 minors were detained" in January in connection with Syria protests, the party said in a statement.
