WINDHOEK, 19 FEB (NAMPA) - The Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia (CRAN) has confirmed plans to phase out 2G and 3G mobile networks over the next four years as part of efforts to modernise the national telecommunications sector.
CRAN's Chief Executive Officer, Emilia Nghikembua, said the transition to 4G and 5G technology is necessary to ensure that Namibia remains competitive in the global digital economy.
