Mexico's economy put up its worst performance last year since the Covid-19 pandemic, growing 0.7 percent year-on-year as trade tensions with the United States took a toll. The GDP figure for Latin America's second-largest economy was its worst since an 8.5 percent contraction recorded in 2020, according to data from the INEGI national statistics institute.
