US wholesale prices jumped by more than expected in December, government data showed Friday, a signal that companies continue to pass on costs from heightened tariffs under President Donald Trump's administration. The producer price index (PPI) climbed 0.5 percent last month, marking its biggest monthly jump since September on a seasonally adjusted basis, said the Department of Labor.
