ArcelorMittal hit back Thursday at a seven-billion-euro ($8.35-billion) lawsuit by Italy over its management of a giant steel plant, and confirmed it was itself seeking 1.8 billion euros from Rome. Italian state commissioners at Acciaierie d'Italia (ADI) filed a lawsuit earlier this month seeking damages from the steel giant for alleged "predatory" behaviour and mismanagement at the Taranto plant in southern Italy.
