US chemicals group Dow on Thursday said it would slash 4,500 jobs and use artificial intelligence and automation to improve productivity and boost profitability by at least $2 billion. The announcement came as the company said net sales in the last quarter of 2025 were $9.5 billion, down nine percent year-over-year, reflecting declines in all operating segments.
