EasyJet's losses widened in its first quarter because of investments in Italian airports and a "competitive environment", the British no-frills airline said Thursday. The carrier, which flies mainly across Europe, said pre-tax losses increased 52 percent to £93 million ($129 million) in the three months to end-December, after a loss of £61 million one year earlier.
