German Population Declines for 1st Time Since 2020 - Destatis

MOSCOW, January 29 (RIA Novosti) - Germany's population declined in 2025 for the first time since 2020, falling to 83.5 million from 83.6 million at the end of 2024, the country's Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) said on Thursday​​​. "At the end of 2025, Germany had a population of approximately 83.5 million. According to preliminary estimates, the country's population decreased by roughly 100,000 compared with the end of 2024 (83.6 million)......
