Lloyds Banking Group said Thursday that its net profit rose six percent last year as higher income offset compensation for consumers caught up in a UK car loans scandal. Profit after tax grew to £4.76 billion ($6.58 billion) in 2025 from £4.48 billion a year earlier, the company said in a statement.
