The head of Tunisia's main labour union told local media on Wednesday that he had rescinded his resignation, which he tendered three weeks ago in the midst of internal strife and a crisis with the authorities. Since 2017, Noureddine Tabboubi has headed the UGTT union confederation, which was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2015 along with three other Tunisian organisations for their role in the country's democratic transition.
