Anti-poaching guards arrested for shooting suspected poacher

OTJIWARONGO, 14 JAN (NAMPA) – Two anti-poaching security guards, aged 23 and 34, were arrested Tuesday morning for allegedly shooting and killing a suspected poacher on a private commercial farm near Okahandja.
Senior Inspector Maureen Mbeha, the Namibian Police Force’s Head of Community Affairs in the Otjozondjupa Region, confirmed the incident in an interview on Wednesday. She noted that the deceased has not yet been identified.
