Bank of Canada Lowers Rate by 25 Basis Points to 2.25% in 2nd Consecutive Cut

WASHINGTON, October 29 (RIA Novosti) - The Bank of Canada (BoC) lowered on Wednesday its overnight interest rate by 25 basis points to 2.25%, marking a second consecutive cut. In mid-September, the BoC announced a 25 basis point cut, the first decline of interests rates since March. "The Bank of Canada today reduced its target for the overnight rate by 25 basis points to 2.25%, with the Bank Rate at 2.5% and the deposit rate at 2.20%," BoC sai......
