KATIMA MULILO, 27 OCT (NAMPA) – Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Land Reform, Inge Zaamwani has called for urgent national reflection on the state of sanitation and a firm commitment to ending open defecation.

KATIMA MULILO, 27 October 2025 - Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Land Reform Minister, Inge Zaamwani says it’s about time the nation reflects on the current state of sanitation in the country and ensure that there an end to open defecation in future. The minister revealed this in a speech read on her behalf by her deputy, Ruth Masake at Katima Mulilo on Monday as she addressed participants at the first five-days National Sanitation Symposium and the official launch of the five-year National Sanitation and Hygiene Strategy for 2022 – 2027.
