Twice winner Mihambo among latest Germans picked for athletics worlds

Berlin (dpa) - Twice long jump champion Malaika Mihambo leads a group of 23 German athletes nominated on Wednesday for next month's world championships in Tokyo. Mihambo won the world title in 2019 and 2022, and Olympic gold in 2021 in the same Tokyo stadium where the worlds will take place September 13-21. She is among Germany's biggest medal hopes, along with Paris Olympics shot put champion Yemisi Ogunleye and former European javelin champion......
