694 climbers, guides summit Mt. Qomolangma from Nepal side during the season

KATHMANDU, May 29 (Xinhua) -- A total of 694 climbers and guides had scaled the world's highest Mount Qomolangma by Tuesday from the Nepali side during the spring climbing season, the Department of Tourism announced on Thursday. Among the summitters of the 8848.86-meter-high peak that straddles Nepal and China, 257 were foreigners, nine were Nepali nationals, 421 were Sherpa guides and seven were from the rope-fixing team, the department noted......
