Kalimbeza harvests 108 tons of rice

KALIMBEZA, 30 MAY (NAMPA) – The Kalimbeza Green Scheme Irrigation Project has managed to harvest a total of 108 tons of raw rice that is kept in the warehouse at Kalimbeza, the farm’s manager, Patrick Kompeli has said.
“Though the rice is there, it cannot immediately find its way to the market because one component of the colour sorter processing machinery at the farm is broken.”
Out of these 108 tons, 77 tons are of the early Irga rice variety...
