WINDHOEK, 30 MAY (NAMPA) – A male camper was killed by a lion in the early morning hours of Friday while camping along the Hoanib River in the Kunene Region.
According to a short statement issued by the Ministry of Environment and Tourism (MET) on Friday, the victim was ambushed by the lion after he exited his tent.
“In the early hours of 30 May 2025, a group of campers were stationed along the Hoanib River when a tragic incident occurred.”
