Choppies employees demand fair labour practices

ONGWEDIVA, 13 NOV (NAMPA) – The employees of Choppies Supermarket in Ongwediva on Wednesday held a peaceful demonstration, accusing their management of transferring staff without consultation.
They marched under the auspices of the Namibian Food and Allied Workers Union (Nafau) to the supermarket, where they handed over a petition to a member of the shop’s management, Swin Peethambavan.
Peethambavan received the petition but did not respond.
