Water shortages in occupied Palestinian territory threaten public health: UN

UNITED NATIONS, Aug. 11 (Xinhua) -- Most of the population across the occupied Palestinian territory lacks sufficient access to water, sanitation and hygiene, UN humanitarians said Tuesday. More than 1.3 million people -- more than half of the population -- have access to less than 6 liters of water per person per day for drinking and cooking, said the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).
