FARM STURMFELD, 11 AUG (NAMPA) – Omaheke Governor Pijoo has said the Ovambanderu community has not forgotten the battle of Otjunda and the brutal acts committed by colonial forces.
The Battle of Otjunda (also known as Sturmfeld) was a decisive and tragic clash on 06 May 1896, where the Ovambanderu, led by Chief Kahimemua Nguvauva, resisted German colonial occupation in the now Omaheke Region.
