8 dead in head-on collision in NE Bangladesh

DHAKA, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- Eight people were killed on Friday morning after two passenger buses collided head-on in Bangladesh's Sylhet region, some 240 km northeast of the capital Dhaka. The accident also left 25 others injured, Golam Mostafa, officer-in-charge of Sylhet's Osmani Nagar police station, told local journalists. The cause of the accident, which occurred at around 7:30 a.m. local time, is under investigation, said the officer.......
