NEW YORK, July 27 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar increased in late trading on Monday. The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, gained 0.07 percent to 101.539 at 3 p.m. (1900 GMT). In late New York trading, the euro fell to 1.1368 U.S. dollars from 1.1370 dollars in the previous session, and the British pound dropped to 1.3288 dollars from 1.3326 dollars in the previous session.
