Turkey Increases Transit Fees Through Bosphorus, Dardanelles by 15% - Ministry

ISTANBUL, July 1 (RIA Novosti) - Turkish authorities have raised the transit fee for ships transiting the Bosphorus and Dardanelles by almost 15% to $6.7 per tonne, the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told RIA Novosti. "The transit fee for ships through the Turkish straits is set annually on July 1. This year, the fee has been increased from $5.83 per tonne to $6.7," the ministry said.
