Sudan's army, at war with the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) for three years, has welcomed a string of RSF defectors in what it calls a strategic victory, but which could sow new divisions within its ranks. Sudanese have watched for decades as the country's armed groups -- some small battalions, others armies in their own right -- have switched alliances again and again as interests shifted, and not everyone on the army's side is pleased......
