WINDHOEK, 04 JUNE (NAMPA) - Bank Windhoek has appointed Geb Ilunga as Head of Digital Marketing Channels, effective 01 June 2026, as part of its efforts to strengthen digital engagement and enhance customer experience across its platforms.

In a media statement issued on Thursday, the bank said Ilunga brings more than 12 years of experience in marketing, digital strategy and business development.

Since joining Bank Windhoek as Website Manager in 2024, Ilunga has played a key role in improving the performance of the bank’s websites and intranet, enhancing user experience, increasing digital visibility and strengthening online engagement.

The bank noted that Ilunga holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Marketing and Management from Monash University in South Africa, a certificate in Agile Project Management from the University of Cape Town, and is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the International University of Applied Sciences in Germany.

“He has led content development aligned with business objectives and search optimisation best practices, while driving continuous improvements in user experience, navigation and digital innovation,” the statement said.

In his new role, Ilunga will oversee the bank’s digital marketing channels, including its website, intranet, social media platforms, email and SMS services, as well as other customer engagement platforms.

Bank Windhoek said the appointment reflects its commitment to delivering innovative and customer-centric digital services.

Commenting on the appointment, Bank Windhoek Executive Officer for Marketing and Corporate Communication Services Jacquiline Pack said Ilunga has consistently demonstrated strategic insight, innovation and a strong understanding of how digital platforms support business growth and enhance customer experience.

“His leadership will be instrumental as we continue to evolve our digital marketing capabilities to meet the needs of our customers and our business,” Pack said.
