Spain's economy could face a "significant slowdown" due to the Middle East war, the Bank of Spain said on Friday, although it still predicts growth of 2.3 percent in 2026. This forecast is slightly above the 2.2 percent growth it predicted in December, supported by a robust first-quarter expansion, estimated between 0.5 percent and 0.6 percent, the central bank said.
